The holder can also be used for HPLC solvent preparation. The vacuum connection is integrated into the filter holder base and flask cap, above the filtrate exit level. With this design, you can avoid unintentionally drawing filtrate into vacuum tubing. The Vent Filter protects stored reverse osmosis (RO) product water from airborne contaminants such as carbon dioxide, particles, micro-organisms, and volatile organic compounds (VOC). It includes activated carbon for VOC adsorption, a soda-lime bed for 2 removal, and a membrane filter for particle and bacterial retention. This vent filter must be replaced once a year for the best results. It can be easily installed in the built-in holder on the front of the SDS reservoir.
