Overview
The Progard® TL1-C pretreatment pack is designed for use with larger Elix® 20/35/70/100 and RiOs™ 30/50/100/150/200 water purification systems. The pretreatment pack protects the reverse osmosis (RO) membrane against mineral scaling, organic fouling, and chlorine oxidation by removing large particles and free chlorine from tap water. The pack includes polyphosphates, silver-impregnated activated carbon, depth filtration and ROProtect CR for automatic RO maintenance.
The Vent Filter protects stored pure (Type 3) water from airborne contaminants in the environment. These include carbon dioxide, particles, micro-organisms, and volatile organic compounds that mainly come from the laboratory atmosphere. This filter includes a combination of purification media carefully selected to remove contaminants that could degrade pure water quality during storage. The filter contains soda lime to prevent CO2 contamination.

The Vent Filter provides advanced protection to Elix® Type 2 (pure) water stored in polyethylene (PE) tanks. This vent filter contains a combination of purification media (activated carbon, soda lime, and 0.65 μm hydrophobic filter) carefully selected to prevent airborne contaminants from entering the tank. The filter is replaced once a year for optimal results. For use with 30/60/100 L PE tanks fed by Elix® water produced by AFS® Essential and Elix® Advantage/Essential/Reference systems.
The Vent Filter with CO2 trap filters the air entering the storage tank and protects stored pure water from airborne contaminants such as CO2, particles, micro-organisms, and volatile organic compounds. The vent filter can maintain the resistivity levels of high purity water during storage in the reservoir. It contains activated carbon, a soda-lime bed, and a hydrophobic 0.22 μm filter to remove impurities. This vent filter is designed for use with larger storage tanks, such as SDS 200, 350 and 500.
